We are pleased to announce that a paper by Dr. Kazuya Sumi,
“Association of Propofol Versus Midazolam Sedation With Successful Pharyngeal Observation During Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy: A Retrospective Study”
has been published in DEN Open. Read the article
This study compared propofol and midazolam sedation to investigate the association between the sedation method and successful pharyngeal observation during routine upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
The results showed that the success rate of pharyngeal observation was higher with propofol sedation than with midazolam sedation.
These findings suggest that propofol sedation may contribute to more consistent pharyngeal observation during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Congratulations, Dr. Sumi!
