We are pleased to announce that Dr. Miyu Osaki, a resident in gastroenterology at our center, has been awarded the Resident Encouragement Award at the 125th Kyushu Regional Meeting of the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology.

Comment from Dr. Osaki:

This case involved a rare disease that required a high level of specialized diagnostic knowledge. With the generous guidance of the faculty from the Department of Gastroenterology at Oita University Faculty of Medicine, I was able to approach the case through careful evaluation and repeated presentation practice.
I am truly honored to receive this award, which was made possible thanks to the support and advice of many mentors. Encouraged by this recognition, I will continue striving to contribute to improving the quality of care for gastrointestinal diseases.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the professors who have guided me, and to the hospital staff who support me every day.
