On May 14, 2024, a celebration was held to honor Professor Takeyoshi Ito of the Department of Gastroenterology on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

The event brought together many physicians from the Digestive Diseases Center of Showa University Koto Toyosu Hospital — a collaborative center encompassing both internal medicine and surgery — and was held in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

Among the many esteemed colleagues in attendance were Professor Haruhiro Inoue, Director of the Digestive Diseases Center, and Professor Noboru Yokoyama, Director of the Hospital. Throughout the evening, tributes were paid to Professor Ito’s exceptional accomplishments, and numerous touching anecdotes highlighting his warm personality were shared. The celebration was filled with smiles, laughter, and heartfelt appreciation.

It was a memorable occasion in which all attendees joined in extending their best wishes for Professor Ito’s continued health and future success.
